About the course

The SAP standard user interface technology, Web Dynpro (WD), was developed by SAP AG. Web Dynpro is the SAP NetWeaver programming model for user interfaces that aid in the development of web-based business applications. The Web Dynpro model is built on the Model View Controller paradigm and includes many enhancements to the traditional Dynpro model e.g: There is a clear distinction between business logic and display logic. All types of user interfaces have a common metamodel.

You will gain a clear understanding of the role and application of Web Dynpro in SAP’s UI strategy. After learning about the Web Dynpro platform, you’ll start working on the context and user interfaces, as well as learning how to programme the various controllers. You’ll learn how pop-ups and value help are implemented and what components reuse means in the Web Dynpro. It can be used to create web-based applications using SAP development tools and concepts in the SAP ABAP environment. It offers a front-end web user interface for accessing data and functions for reporting from backend SAP R/3 systems.

It would be advantageous to have a strong bachelor’s degree in any area. Knowledge of database technology and basic software is beneficial but not necessary.
